Unrefined sunflower oil ,,Lacrimă de Aur"

Sunflower oil – has the highest economic value on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

Sunflower oil is produced from sunflower seeds, plants of the family Asteraceae. Today, sunflower for us is a common plant,however, it has not always been. For the first time sunflower came to Russia thanks to Peter I, who sent a handful of seeds from the Netherlands, having previously been unknown plants, but for the appearance of sunflower oil we should thank the farmer Daniel Semenovich Bokareva – he built the first oil mill. Today, a wide range of sunflower oil is present on the market.

Unrefined sunflower oil, unlike refined sunflower oil, is purified only by mechanical means, without other types of processing. Due to this, it preserves nutrients and vitamins: phospholipids, vitamins E, F, and carotene. Phospholipids are entlited in the "construction" of nerve tissue and brain cells, preventing the development of atherosclerosis and liver failure. Vitamin E normalizes metabolism, slows aging, prevents cancer, strengthens the immune system, supports sexual functions and other endocrine glands, muscle activity, promotes fat digestion, vitamins A and D, and also improves memory, protects brain cells. β-carotene is an antioxidant, is a source of vitamin A, which is also called vitamin growth and vision. Vitamin F, which is also contained in sunflower oil is necessary for the body. Its absence affects the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract, the capillary system, leads to chronic liver disease and arthritis.

The composition of vegetable sunflower oil contains unsaturated fatty acids, which are easily absorbed by the body and are not stored on the walls of blood vessels, causing them to narrow. The color of unrefined sunflower oil is dark yellow.
The oil must be stored in a dark, dry place at temperatures not exceeding 20 °C. In addition, the oil should be protected from contact with air and moisture, so it is recommended to keep in a container with a hermetically sealed lid.
